Olivia Rodrigo Denies Taylor Swift Feud Amid "Conspiracy Theories"

Olivia Rodrigo is ready to hit the brakes on those Taylor Swift feud rumors.
Amid speculation that there may be bad blood between the two, the "drivers license" singer recently set the record straight.
"I don't have beef with anyone," Olivia told Rolling Stone for its October story released Sept. 12. "I'm very chill. I keep to myself. I have my four friends and my mom, and that's really the only people I talk to, ever. There's nothing to say."
As for what fans have been saying on social media—including that Taylor is the subject of multiple tracks, like "The Grudge," on Olivia's new album Guts? "There's so many Twitter conspiracy theories," she continued. "I only look at alien-conspiracy theories."
While the artists appeared to be on good terms two years ago—with them praising each other, hanging out at the BRIT Awards and Taylor giving Olivia a symbolic gift—fans later wondered if everything had changed following the release of the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series alum's updated writing credits on her album SOUR.
Shortly after the album's release in 2021, Olivia changed the writing credits for her songs "1 step forward, 3 steps back" and "deja vu" to include Taylor and her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff. However, these weren't the only updates she made as Olivia also gave St. Vincent a writing credit on "deja vu" and Paramore's Hayley Williams and Josh Farro writing credits on "Good 4 U."
"I was a little caught off guard," she noted to Rolling Stone when asked about the co-writing credits. "At the time it was very confusing, and I was green and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Is that the phrase?"
"It's not something that I was super involved in," she explained, with the magazine noting that it's unclear if Olivia was forced to update the writing credits. "It was more team-on-team. So, I wouldn't be the best person to ask."
However, the three-time Grammy winner indicated she couldn't see herself asking a musician to provide her with credit if she found herself on the other side of the scenario.
"I don't think I would ever personally do that," she added. "But who's to say where I'll be in 20, 30 years. All that I can do is write my songs and focus on what I can control."
Olivia previously opened up about the alleged beef with Taylor and the suggestion that her song "Vampire" was inspired by the "Cruel Summer" singer.
"How do I answer this?" she said when asked about the rumors in a recent interview with The Guardian. "I mean, I never want to say who any of my songs are about. I've never done that before in my career and probably won't. I think it's better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing. I was very surprised when people thought that."
However, there's also the theory that "Vampire" is about Zack Bia, who Olivia sparked romance rumors with last year. As for Olivia's response? Well, she simply told Rolling Stone, "No comment."
